Job summary

Global Raymac Surveys in Edmonton, Canada, is seeking a Field Survey Assistant to support a variety of survey projects within our Utilities Group. This entry-level role offers a hands-on start in the field, with mentorship and training provided.

You will assist with field surveying, secure sites, manage digital paperwork, maintain equipment, and learn to process data under the Crew Chief’s guidance. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work in remote locations are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Willingness to work in remote locations from time to time.
• Innovative mindset and curiosity for field solutions.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveying projects
• Secure work sites in accordance with safety protocols
• Complete digital paperwork, photos, and forms
• Follow direction from the Crew Chief
• Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles
• Review and process field data into appropriate systems
• Flag and mark boundaries
• Transport equipment to and from job sites
• Dig holes for survey posts

While related experience is an asset, it is not required—we’re here to help you gain that experience.

This role is especially well suited forrecent Geomatics graduates or individuals interested in developing a long-term career in surveying.
