Job summary

Global Raymac Surveys is seeking experienced Civil Construction Surveyors to support project work in Calgary and across Western Canada. The successful candidate must be familiar with all aspects of construction surveying and be willing to travel and work away on shift rotation.

Diploma in Geomatics Technology or 2 years as Party Chief, proficiency with robotic total stations and GNSS, valid driver’s license, CSTS20 and First-Aid required, and eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Geomatics Technology or 2+ years as Party Chief in civil construction.
• Well versed in the operation of robotic total station and GNSS.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CSTS20 and current First-Aid certification required.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for field survey work as assigned.
• Autonomous station and equipment setup.
• Full and autonomous field stakeout setup.
• Complete accountability for company gas and credit card purchases associated with field work.
• Equipment maintenance, control, repair, and inventory accountability.
• Complete interpretation of, and execution of, Project Manager field direction.
• Data collection and field measurement downloading & accuracy.
• Advanced calculation skills and angle/distance measurement.
• Field Hazard documentation and assessments.
• Responsible for safe conduct in the field and for rectifying hazards.
• Adherence to all Health and Safety Standards, practices, and procedures.

Candidates must be willing to travel and work away on shift rotation.

• Must have CSTS20 and current First-Aid
• Compliance with Global Raymac’s Drug and Alcohol policy
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
