Job summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support branch managers and field crews across base and field operations. You will ensure equipment is serviced and ready, supervise site installations, conduct inspections, and maintain strict safety documentation for each field job.

You will be on-call, coordinate parts and scheduling, and interact with client field contacts to ensure timely, accurate project execution.

Responsibilities

• Work with branch manager to ensure equipment is serviced and ready as per TOR’s inspection procedures
• Supervise installation tank farms, wellsites, Apollo Pools and various other equipment as required
• Complete site inspections to ensure equipment is rigged up and maintained as per TOR’s policies and procedures
• Required to be on call and assist with taking customer calls on a rotation with the branch manager and dispatch
• Assist branch manager and dispatch with parts ordering, service schedules of equipment, planning and prioritizing needs for upcoming projects
• Interface with Client field contacts and on-site reps to ensure the proper job scope has been executed correctly and in a timely manner
• Demonstrate and execute a superior understanding of the client’s needs to provide exceptional customer service
• Solve problems for equipment in the field or find someone competent to assist to solve issues quickly
• Direct/Supervise Total personnel and Total trucks on site for the duration of scheduled projects

Job description

Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Position Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Supervisor, will be responsible for assisting branch manager and clients’ needs for various home base and field level activities as outlined below.

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):

• Work with branch manager to ensure equipment is serviced and ready as per TOR’s inspection procedures
• Work with branch manager and dispatch to ensure inventory counts are accurate and assets are being tracked properly when being mobilized to/from customer locations and between TOR’s branches.
• Supervise installation tank farms, wellsites, Apollo Pools and various other equipment as required.
• Complete site inspections to ensure equipment is rigged up and maintained as per TOR’s policies and procedures.
• Required to be on call and assist with taking customer calls on a rotation with the branch manager and dispatch.
• Assist branch manager and dispatch with parts ordering, service schedules of equipment, planning and prioritizing needs for upcoming projects
• Interface with Client field contacts and on-site reps to ensure the proper job scope has been executed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper Safety meeting / JSA / FLHA documentation is completed and followed prior to starting any and all field level jobs.
• Supervise downstream related operations as well as ability to be able to work together with our Downstream Sales/Marketing crew
• Demonstrate and execute a superior understanding of the client’s needs to provide exceptional customer service.
• Solve problems for equipment in the field or find someone competent to assist to solve issues quickly.
• Direct/Supervise Total personnel and Total trucks on site for the duration of scheduled projects .
• 5-7 years related experience
• Have experience working on surface rental equipment for drilling and completions applications
• Have Class 5 license and acceptable driver’s abstract . Class 1 would be considered an asset
• Have valid safety tickets (H2S, first aid, confined space, etc.)
• Knowledge with pumps, tanks, hoses, electrical equipment and hydraulics.
• Have a commitment to safe work practices
• Able to pass a pre-employment as well as ongoing pre-access testing as required
