Job summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician based in Lloydminster to perform preventative maintenance, inspections and complex repairs on a variety of heavy equipment. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work primarily in the Lloydminster shop, with some on-call weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification from the Alberta Apprenticeship Board, plus experience with mining operations, and with major loader brands such

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician – Alberta Apprenticeship Board Certification.
• Heavy Truck & trailer experience.
• CVIP license.
• Experience with Cat, John Deere, Komatsu and Hyundai Wheel Loaders.
• Experience with 6.7 Litre Cummins Engines, Light Towers, Generators.
• Experience working in Mining Operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Responsible for using proper tools and techniques to complete the job safely.
• Maintain shop tools and work area.

Position Summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Heavy Equipment Technician, will be responsible for developing and expanding Total Oilfield Rental’s (TOR) business.

This position is fulltime and is based out of our Lloydminster location.

Time Commitment

5 and 2 Monday to Friday. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections;
• Responsible for using proper tools and techniques to complete the job safely;
• Maintain shop tools and work area;
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Alberta Apprenticeship Board Certification

Working Conditions

• Mainly Shop in Lloydminster location
• Flexible and willing to be on call some weekends
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions with heavy equipment.
