Job summary

Urbantech Consulting, a division of Leighton-Zec Ltd., seeks a Site Inspector to support municipal and land development projects across the GTA. The role involves inspecting earthworks, utilities, and road work while ensuring compliance with drawings and standards.

You will document field data, coordinate with contractors and municipal staff, and assist with contract administration and site safety. Outdoor work on active construction sites is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Experience preparing inspection reports and tracking quantities.
• Proven organizational skills for site documentation and reporting.
• Valid G driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for municipal infrastructure and land development projects.
• Monitor earthworks, grading, underground servicing, road construction, and utilities.
• Review activities for compliance with drawings, specs, and standards.
• Identify deficiencies, track corrective actions, and prepare inspection reports.
• Record field measurements and as-constructed information.
• Communicate with contractors, municipal reps, consultants, and project teams.
• Support contract administration, quantity tracking, and project documentation.
• Identify and elevate issues while supporting site safety.
• Provide guidance to Junior Site Inspectors as required.
