Urbantech is seeking a Site Inspector to support municipal and land development projects across the GTA. You will independently monitor construction activities, review drawings and specs, document deficiencies, and maintain accurate field records.

Qualificações

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction, municipal infrastructure, or land development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Capable of preparing inspection reports and tracking quantities.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct site inspections for municipal infrastructure and land development projects.
• Monitor earthworks, grading, underground servicing, road construction, and utilities.
• Review activities for compliance with drawings, specs, and municipal standards.
• Identify deficiencies, track corrective actions, and prepare daily reports.
• Record field measurements, quantities, and as-constructed information.
• Communicate with contractors, municipal reps, consultants, and project teams.
• Attend site meetings and support contract administration and project documentation.
• Identify and elevate construction issues while supporting site safety requirements.
• Provide guidance to Junior Site Inspectors as required.

The Role

Urbantech is growing, and we are looking for a Site Inspector to join our Construction Administration team, supporting municipal and land development projects across the GTA.

This role is ideal for an experienced inspector who can independently monitor construction activities, identify deficiencies, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure work meets approved drawings, specifications, and municipal standards.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct site inspections for municipal infrastructure and land development projects.
• Monitor earthworks, grading, underground servicing, road construction, and storm, sanitary, and watermain installations.
• Review construction activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and municipal standards.
• Identify deficiencies, track corrective actions, and prepare daily inspection reports and site documentation.
• Record field measurements, quantities, and as-constructed information.
• Communicate with contractors, municipal representatives, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Attend site meetings and support Contract Administrators and Project Managers with contract administration, quantity tracking, and project documentation.
• Identify and elevate construction issues, while supporting site safety requirements.
• Provide guidance to Junior Site Inspectors as required.

What You Bring

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in civil construction, municipal infrastructure, or land development.
• Knowledge of municipal servicing, grading, road construction, and underground utilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience preparing inspection reports, documenting deficiencies, and tracking quantities.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid G driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites.
