Overview of the role:

Nanoprecise is looking to add Field Services Engineer positions focused on the installation, maintenance, and training of IoT devices across various industries. The position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, vibration analysis, or condition monitoring and offers comprehensive training in IoT technologies, making it ideal for individuals looking to expand their skill set in a rapidly evolving field. Engineers will have the flexibility to manage their schedules while adhering to customer deadlines, safety protocols, and ensuring effective communication with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own installation quality for customers and partners ensuring that hardware is installed in a way that meets our goals of collecting the best data for our analytics possible in each unique production environment
  • Own the onsite safety of the Nanoprecise team by planning for a safe installation every step of the way, including JSA form, PPE compliance, and customer safety training
  • Follow installation SOP which ensures that the quality of the installation will allow for the best data collection and the best customer experience
  • Ensure that installation metrics are tracked and reported
  • Ensure clear and professional communication with customers and team members
  • Complete site survey or installation reports in a timely manner for each customer
  • Complete a post-visit handover of information to the account team
  • Collaborate with the Account Teams for specific industry customers to align communication between sales and operations
  • Manage a flexible work schedule, adapting to varying workloads with the ability to plan up to 4-6 weeks in advance
  • Function as a technical knowledge SME for assigned industry sectors and/or customers; maintain pulse on industry and customer needs
  • Advise on internal technical strategy and training to meet the needs of assigned industry sectors and/or customers
  • Function as liaison and primary interface regarding technical needs of the assigned industry sectors and/or customers
  • Assist in new product rollout to help create Field Procedures in conjunction with the Product Team/Hardware/Firmware
  • Assist or create new Field Procedures to improve Field Operational efficiency and quality
  • Compliant with all Field Service and Safety Training necessary by geography
  • Complete any Advanced Training assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent field experience
  • Electrical, IOT, and Networking/Wireless Communications knowledge and experience
  • Solid understanding of vibration analysis and condition monitoring in an industrial environment
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent command of English language, both in writing and speech for effective communications
  • Spanish language experience is a plus
  • Ability to establish priorities systematically with focus and organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build trust and rapport and effectively communicate with co-workers, employees and customers
  • Must be readily adaptable to fast-paced, changing/evolving environment
  • Travel to customer locations in North America required up to 80%
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time
  • Extended or alternate hours are required to complete some special projects
