Field Service Technician, Mining Rotational 7/7

Toromont Cat is seeking a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to visit customer sites using a Toromont Service truck, providing expert service and ensuring timely repairs with integrity.

Note: This position operates on a 7/7 rotation.

Shift premiums apply.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive attitude to complete tasks correctly and on time.
• Practicing safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment and technical skills.
• Maintaining quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment efficiently in the field.
• Maintaining excellent communication and customer relationships through regular site visits.

Minimum requirements:

• Post-secondary education in heavy-duty, heavy engine, or heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Currently holding a 421A license (apply even if preparing for the exam).
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and servicing mining heavy equipment, preferably underground equipment.
• Familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License (DZ preferred).
