Zusammenfassung

Johnston Equipment is seeking a Road Service Technician to ensure the operational integrity of trucks and perform maintenance and diagnostic tasks on site. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, interpret manuals, and order parts as needed.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience, relevant automotive certifications, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication to support customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school completion or equivalent education proficiency and/or minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent related experience.
• Automotive Certification (310S) or Heavy Duty Technician Certification (421A) an asset.
• ICE-IE-P industrial Equipment Propane Certification an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices; use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements.
• Experience with lifting/rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment.
• Experience aligning equipment using dial indicators/calipers/micrometers, hoists or jacks is a plus.
• Able to interpret and implement technical procedures.
• Solid knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer service oriented.

Aufgaben

• Examine overall operational integrity and condition of the trucks.
• Identify defective or worn parts and communicate repair steps to customers.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and order parts per technical manuals.
• Document and analyze breakdowns per standard procedures.
• Serve as front-line contact between Johnston Equipment and customers; communicate effectively.
