Job description

If you are interested in making a global impact, we are looking for a full-time Field Service Technician I to service the Edmonton and surrounding area.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing, fixing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on various types of equipment such as coin & currency equipment, ATMs, software, and specialized office products located at client sites in Edmonton and surrounding cities. To guarantee ongoing success, you will work in coordination with branch sales and other service team members.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on company electromechanical equipment.
  2. Travel by vehicle, daily, to client sites (90%) with overnight travel as needed (10%) - Some long drive times are encountered depending on geographical territory covered.
  3. Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs.
  4. Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time.
  5. Extended Hours Coverage periods and ‘On-Call’ duty where applicable.
  6. Safeguard and maintain a balanced vehicle stock parts inventory.
  7. Upkeep and cleanliness of company issued vehicle including scheduled service intervals.
  8. Safeguarding of any company issued assets including tablet computer and mobile phone.
  9. All other duties as required.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years of working in Technical/Field Service position or similar technical profession.
  2. Impeccable Integrity.
  3. Must be able to gain access to highly secured environments; Occupational licenses may be necessary to obtain depending on territory/accounts.
  4. Strong electromechanical aptitude.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a positive, customer-first attitude.
  6. Personable, approachable, and able to work easily with others at all levels.
  7. Strong Attention to details - able to proof and prioritize your own work.
  8. Proficient in iOS, MS Office applications, and Windows OS.
  9. Ability to set and track goals independently, initiate and follow through on assignments without coaching, and work proactively as a team player.
  10. Able to commit to and meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Available for periodic travel to our corporate office in Mt. Prospect, IL for training classes.
  2. Able to lift, push or carry a minimum of 50 pounds such as large money counting machines and parts in and out of client sites.
  3. The job requires kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting to service equipment on the ground up to 60% of the time.
  4. Hand and wrist dexterity needed to turn screwdrivers and place parts and equipment.
  5. Phone or desk work about 10% of the time doing computer work, bench repair work, parts stocking, tracking service calls, and setting up appointments.
  6. Ability to stand for long periods up to 75% of the time while servicing some equipment.
