Job summary

TFI Canada is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service a range of foodservice equipment, including FCB units, espresso machines, fryers, and ovens. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to service calls, and coordinate with customers to identify improvements.

Expect on-site work, training opportunities, and occasional overnight travel in Canada. Trade school or college diploma is preferred; strong English communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Trade school diploma or college diploma considered an asset.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions in English orally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Knowledge of 110v to 220v systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and test a variety of specialty foodservice equipment.
• Interact with customers professionally and address concerns.
• Respond quickly to service calls, PMs, and installs.
• Assess and complete repairs quickly and accurately.
• Use TFI’s mobile service (tablet) system for work orders.
• Maintain an organized parts inventory in the service vehicle.
• Train with other technicians on preventive maintenance and procedures.
• Upsell additional services and products when appropriate.
• Occasionally respond to on-call emergencies and travel for training as needed.
