Job description

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer locations to commission, service, calibrate, troubleshoot, and dismantle specialized shop service equipment. Travel is required when working at the customer's site.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, maintaining open communication with all personnel.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders; respond promptly to customer concerns.
3. Diagnose problems and advise operators on proper equipment maintenance.
4. Keep records of all services performed.
5. Follow all NOV policies and procedures, including vehicle, safety, correspondence, and housekeeping protocols.
6. Work in the customer's shop occasionally, as requested by the supervisor.
7. Address issues proactively as they arise.
8. Communicate regularly with the manager regarding all service aspects.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):

• Experience in a mechanical repair environment.
• Hydraulic experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s abstract is required.
