Job summary

Rubix is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer in Canada to support our engineering team. You will fault find, identify defects in components, and rectify worn parts.

You’ll have basic electrical testing capability to assess AC and DC conditions, plus solid mechanical engineering knowledge to address faulty components. The role involves on-site and workshop work, rotation on a 24/7 service rota, and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Fault find and rectify defects in components.
• Basic electrical testing to assess AC/DC conditions.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify worn/faulty parts.
• Experience with pumps and hydraulics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• You will be flexible to work the hours required in a demanding 24/24 service oriented environment.
• Participate in call out rota as required.
• You will be on-site and workshop-based; site experience and CCNSG or equivalent is advantageous.
• Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do.
• You will work well in a team and on your own initiative.

About The Role

• You will have the ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn / damaged components
• Have as a minimum basic electrical testing capability to assess electrical condition of AC & DC components
• Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn / damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options
• Pump experience namely hot oil, water, also basic hydraulic knowledge

• You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/24 service orientated environment
• Participate in call out rota as required
• You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
