Job summary

MasterTech is seeking experienced Mechanics/Technicians for the Guelph, Fergus, Erin, and Orangeville, Ontario area. This Field Service Technician role involves travel mainly across Southern Ontario with occasional Western Canada assignments, performing maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on drilling equipment in shop and field environments.

Shifts are day hours, Monday to Friday, with travel time compensated. A company vehicle, gas card and brand new tools are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on off-road heavy equipment and/or diesel trucks.
• Licensed Technician (310T, 421A, 425A, 310S) or apprentice/experienced technicians welcome.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to travel overnight and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on drilling equipment in shop and field.
• Travel mainly throughout Southern Ontario, with occasional Western Canada assignments.
• Work includes servicing drilling equipment in field environments.
• Provide on-site service and support to customers.

Job DescriptionJob Description MasterTech is on the search for experienced Mechanics/Technicians throughout the Guelph, Fergus, Erin, and Orangeville Ontario area.

This is a Field Service Tecnician opportunity. Travel is required mainly throughout Southern Ontario, and occasionally throughout Western Canada. Work includes maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to drilling equipment in shop and field environments. Field Technicians can expect most field work throughout the GTA and surrounding towns, and shop work out of Mt. Forest, ON.

Compensation:

• $35.00 - $55.00/hour based on related experience, training, certifications, etc.
• Excellent benefits plan, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• RRSP match.
• Per diem when on travel assignments. Travel time and costs compensated.
• Service vehicle, gas card, and brand new tools provided.

Shift:

• Day shift, Monday to Friday.
• On the clock when dispatched from home to field service work.

Key Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience working on off-road heavy equipment (mining, construction, forestry, drills, aerial, earthmoving, etc.) and/or diesel trucks, and automotive
• Licensed Technician (310T, 421A, 425A, 310S), Apprentices, or experienced/non-licensed Technicians can apply.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Highly proficient with electrical is preferred to secure higher wages.
• About to commit to overnight travel assignments when needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Full set of tools.
