Job summary

Medtronic Canada is seeking a Field Service Rep II to provide on-site technical support for a range of medical equipment. The role includes installation, maintenance, repair, and testing at customer sites, with travel to the US for training as required.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package in Canada.

A Day in the Life

Field Service Rep II provides technical support in the Field on a variety of equipment, including install, repair and testing.

PLEASE NOTE: The role requires travel to the US for training purposes. Must be eligible to travel.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Salary range: $55,120 - $68,900

TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:

Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
