Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking a Field Service Representative to support customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Agilent and multi-vendor systems. You will install and optimize hardware, software and networking configurations at customer sites, diagnose performance issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires a science degree and 4+ years in a lab environment with spectroscopy, GC, LC, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary degree in science (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology).
• 4+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment using spectroscopy, GC, LC, and GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; good verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, implement, and maintain hardware/software/network products at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance issues and optimize configurations.
• Train field engineers and customers on solutions and preventive maintenance.
• Proactively address potential equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Travel to customer sites approximately 25% of the time.

The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.Your Role:You will be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.Performs maintenance and repairs.Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.Successful candidate MUST live in the Calgary, Alberta areaQualificationsA post-secondary degree within the science field – e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent College degree with Work experience.4+ years of experience in laboratory environment working spectroscopy, GC, LC, and GCP.Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving is essentialExperience with the Agilent Instruments is preferred but not essentialVerbal and written communication is clear, respectful and timelyYou enjoy travelling and visiting customers.Travel expectation is 25%.Additional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $83,680.00 - $130,750.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
