Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment, with travel to customer sites as required.

You will work alongside expert technicians, using the latest tools to deliver an unmatched customer experience while maintaining strict safety standards and on-time performance. A strong problem-solving mindset and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends for on-call field service.
• Experience with PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment with laser alignments.
• Perform precision measurements to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components.
• Conduct diagnostic tests using a variety of portable electronic equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, DLRO).
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvents.
• Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or in a team.
