Job summary

Voith Group in Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician (Millwright) to join our team. You will manage all phases of field service, including inspections, repairs, commissioning, and customer support at sites nationwide, ensuring safety and quality standards.

We expect 5+ years in field service with rotating equipment, and a Red Seal or equivalent. Strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to travel across Canada are essential; English fluency required, French a plus.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification or equivalent trade qualification is required.
• Post-secondary mechanical education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, overhauls, alignments, and commissioning at customer sites and Voith facilities.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble/reassemble, and maintain Voith Hydrodynamic and Geared Industrial products.
• Provide preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and technical support services.
• Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance analyses, and failure investigations.
• Deliver exceptional customer support in person, by phone, and via email.
• Determine scope of work, parts requirements, and tooling needs.
• Assist the quotation process by providing estimates for labor duration and expenses.
• Coordinate service schedules and arrange support from additional field service representatives as required.
• Support the inside and outside sales teams with technical expertise.
• Complete expense reports, timesheets, and documentation to facilitate timely customer invoicing.
• Ensure strict compliance with all Voith safety standards, procedures, and operational directives.
