Job description

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a motivated and committed Safety Advisor for the Prince George area. This is a field position, therefore travel will be required. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within the construction industry.

Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with well-established and reputable clients.

Requirements :

• NCSO Designation is required
• Considerable experience working within the construction industry (minimum of five years)
• Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation (Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate) is considered an asset
• Previous management experience is an asset
• Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia WCB
• Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia OHS Legislation
• Familiar with CSAZ460
• Familiar with CSAZ462
• Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals and Driving & Journey Management certificates
• Must have a flexible work schedule - shiftwork, overtime, weekends, and travel
• Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
• Able to work with little to no supervision
• Must have effective time management skills
