Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance and construction field preferred.
• Supervisory experience in concrete/construction industry considered an asset.
• Fluent in reading and interpreting construction drawings.

Job description

• Manage the overall Field Quality Control inspection team and oversee quality processes (visual, dimensional and document)
• Create and maintain an effective field quality assurance plan that meets company and industry standards
• Development and adherence of field / site quality testing and procedures
• Reviewing and analyzing quality control field reports and implement corrective action procedures
• Initiate and participate in quality investigations to support corrective actions and failure analysis
• Travel throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia based on project needs to provide oversight to field inspectors
• Planning and coordinating field testing of construction materials
• Additional duties as assigned

Technical Requirements

• Post secondary education
• Civil engineering or technology is an asset
• Prior experience in a quality assurance environment and / or within the construction field
• Supervisory experience in the concrete / construction industry would be considered a strong asset
• Fluent ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Knowledge of CSA, ASTM and DTI Standards
