PAC Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale assembly operations in Canada on a contract basis. You will oversee racking and conveyance system installation, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

You bring 5+ years in project management, a mechanical aptitude, and proven ability to manage diverse vendors and risks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to drive performance on this critical program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • 5+ years in project management roles.
  • Mechanical aptitude with electrical knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read technical docs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee racking and conveyance system installation.
  • Monitor daily and weekly targets and adjust plans.
  • Manage vendor teams during installation and commissioning.
  • Drive production efficiency while upholding safety and quality.
  • Prepare PM status reports for client and PAC leadership.
  • Coordinate with logistics to maintain material flow.
  • Conduct quality checks and implement corrective actions.
  • Close out projects with lessons learned docs.

Role Purpose:

Are you an experienced leader with a background with a mechanical aptitude, ready to take on a pivotal role in an exciting, large-scale project? We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the execution of critical assembly operations. In this dynamic role, you will manage diverse teams, ensure quality compliance, and play a key part in achieving ambitious production goals. Effective project control, monitoring and reporting are fundamental to being successful in the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of racking and conveyance system installation
  • Monitor and ensuring daily and weekly targets are being met
  • Manage vendor teams as they install and commission specified equipment.
  • Drive production efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure all builds meet specifications and client expectations.
  • Quickly address and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, motivating teams to excel in performance.
  • Perform PM status reports as required by the client and PAC leadership.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to maintain consistent material flow to workstations and proactively address supply chain challenges.
  • Complete project closure reporting and lessons learned documentation
  • Uphold the highest level of safety on the worksite, through safety walks, tool box talks, reporting
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent hands‑on experience in project management roles will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in related project management roles.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required, with electrical knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple priorities, and ensure timely execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Proactive at addressing tasks and risks
  • Safety centric individual
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and operational best practices.
  • Experience in equipment assembly or construction environments, managing large-scale operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary
  • OSHA certification – construction (nice to have but not required)
  • Travel up to 100%

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, education, and qualifications.

Pay Range

$65 - $65 USD
