Job summary

Canlin Energy Corporation seeks a Field Operator for Edson District to safely and efficiently operate gas and oilfield production assets, including sour gas wells, field compression, pipelines, and associated equipment.

The role supports reliable production and safe operations in the Edson area, with on-call duties and a 7-on, 7-off shift schedule. Camp accommodation is provided, reporting to the Edson South Production Foreman.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma.
• Trades or Technical Certification is a strong asset.
• Valid certifications: H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG.
• Class 5 driver's license with clean record.
• Comfortable in sour gas processing environments.
• Upstream gas processing experience is an asset.
• Excellent troubleshooting and adaptability.
• Ability to motivate others in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive, with initiative for positive change.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to shift priorities and complete tasks

Responsibilities

• Safe operation and care of gas and oilfield production assets.
• Day-to-day operation and monitoring of wells, pipelines and compressor stations.
• Operate sour gas wells, field compression, pipeline pigging, and plunger lift systems.
• Monitor chemical rates and ensure equipment throughput.
• Use OpLynx for daily logs and electronic reporting.
• Collaborate with Production Coordinator and IROC.

Field Operator – Edson District

The Field Operator is accountable for the safeand efficient operation, care, and control Canlin production assets. The fieldoperator will be responsible for all aspects of gas and oilfield operations ina safe and effective manner including operating sour gas wells, fieldcompression, pipeline pigging, plunger lift systems, monitoring chemical rates,all contributing to a safe working environment for Canlin.

This is a full-time, unionized position withCanlin Energy Corporation, primarily Edson South assets, with occasionalsupport across the broader Edson district. The role includes campaccommodation, operates on a 7-on, 7-off shift schedule (subject to change)requiring on-call availability, and reports directly to the Edson SouthProduction Foreman. This role covered under the collective agreement betweenCanlin Energy and Unifor Local 508-A.

Key Accountabilities

• AssetControl: Safe operation and care of gas and oilfield production assets.
• CoreOperations: Day-to-day operation and monitoring of wells, pipelines, andcompressor stations.
• TechnicalTasks: Operating sour gas wells, field compression, pipeline pigging, andplunger lift systems.
• Optimization:Monitoring chemical rates and ensuring equipment meets throughputrequirements.
• DataManagement: Utilizing OpLynx for accurate daily equipment logs andelectronic reporting.
• Collaboration:Working with the Production Coordinator and the Integrated RemoteOperations Center (IROC).

Qualifications & Competencies

• Highschool diploma
• Tradesor Technical Certification is considered a strong asset
• Validcertification in H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG
• Possessa valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
• Comfortableworking directly in a sour gas processing environment and facilities
• Upstreamgas processing and gathering system optimization experience is an asset
• Excellenttroubleshooting skills with an ability to shift priorities and completetasks dynamically
• Abilityto motivate others in a high-performing, fast-paced work environment
• Takesinitiative to create positive change and brings forward new ideas
