Job summary

Roska DBO Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Operator for our client in the Edson, Alberta area to join a long‑term, full‑time role on an 8/6 shift with on‑call responsibilities.

Candidates must reside in Edson or Hinton and be able to commute to the field daily; camp accommodations are not provided. The operation is a sweet gas field with a mix of wells, compressors, dehydration equipment, and other assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of oil and gas field operating experience (gas and oil).
• Pump jack experience is required.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract; H2S and First Aid tickets.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Comfortable working independently in remote field locations.

Job description

Roska DBO Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Field Operator for our client, a major oil and gas producer, in the Edson, Alberta area.

This is a full-time, long-term position working an 8/6 shift, with on‑call responsibilities. Candidates must reside in the Edson or Hinton area and be able to commute to the field daily. Camp accommodations are not provided for this position.

The operation consists of a sweet gas field with a mix of free‑flowing and plunger‑lift wells, reciprocating and screw field booster compressors, as well as oil wells with pump jacks and compressor stations with dehydration equipment.

Approximately 75% of the run is remote, so candidates must be comfortable working independently in remote locations and operating a quad.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years of oil and gas field operating experience, including both gas and oil
• Pump jack experience is required
• Experience with compressors, plunger‑lift and free‑flowing wells
• GFO/PFO considered an asset
• Comfortable operating a quad in remote field conditions
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a disciplined work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
• Valid H2S and First Aid tickets
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test
