Job summary

Xplore Inc. is hiring a Field Operations Technician based in Prince Edward Island.

You will be responsible for hands-on integration, repair and maintenance of the Xplore network, serving as the in-field technical contact for network construction, repair, maintenance and support. The ideal candidate has IP networking knowledge and experience with fixed wireless and Fibre optic deployments, with a background in telecom construction and tower rigging.

Qualifications

• 1-year related work experience or a degree/diploma from a related discipline.
• Experience with fixed wireless and Fibre optic network deployments.
• Knowledge of telecom construction and tower rigging.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, routers, switches, DHCP.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on day-to-day integration, repair and maintenance of the Xplore network.
• Serve as a field technical contact for support groups in network construction, repair, maintenance and support.
• Coordinate multiple priorities across projects; communicate status effectively.
• Troubleshoot IP networking issues, including addressing and basic routing.
• Work on-site in various weather conditions and during on-call/off-hours.
• Travel overnight when required, and adapt to flexible schedules.
