  • Reporting & Administration: Preparing progress reports and managing operational budgets.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Whitehorse, YT for a Field Operations Supervisor. The Field Operations Supervisor will oversee daily field operations, manage on-the-ground logistics, support a team of field staff, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain safety and operational standards. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with guides and other staff to ensure a high-quality guest experience while addressing any challenges that may arise during tours. Maintaining and managing equipment related to excursions, coordinating schedules, and responding to customer feedback are also integral responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicles & Equipment: Maintenance of company fleet (vans, buses, atv, snowmobiles, etc.) and operational equipment (fishing gear, snowshoes, kicksleds, generators, solar system, etc.)
  • Reporting & Administration: Preparing progress reports and managing operational budgets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or field operations.
  • Leadership: Strong team management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Organization: Ability to manage logistics, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Certifications: Valid first aid/CPR, class 4 driving license.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or in remote environments.
  • Communication: Spoken and written fluently in English. Fluency in Spanish or Japanese would be an added advantage.
Working Conditions

· This is a hands-on role that requires being on-the-road or in the field, rather than entirely in an office.

· Flexibility is required to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during high season.

  • CAD 4.800-6.400/month depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
  • Office and outdoor environment.
  • The jobholder is not subject to work that is physically demanding and is generally not exposed to any hazards as a direct consequence of the job.
