Job summary

Boccard Life Sciences in Montreal is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to optimize site productivity while ensuring safety and compliance. You will lead installation, startup, and commissioning of mechanical systems and process piping at client sites, coordinating with engineering teams and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in industrial construction or process piping, strong knowledge of P&IDs and cGMP, and bilingual French/English communication to liaise with clients across Canada

Qualifications

• DVS/AVS/DCS or ACS in Welding and Assembly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation process equipment and piping at customer sites.
• Ensure work follows drawings, P&IDs, specs, cGMP, and codes.
• Monitor field activities; optimize productivity and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during installation and startup.
• Review field progress; provide updates to project management.
• Serve as primary site contact for mechanical installation activities.
• Participate in client meetings and coordination with stakeholders.
• Maintain customer relationships and address technical concerns.
• Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, process, electrical, automation, and validation teams.
• Support change management and field modifications.
• Promote safety policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure safe, organized work environment and adherence to procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve installation practices and satisfaction.
• Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support best-practice development for field operations.
