Qualifications

• At least one season (≈8 months) of direct field-based construction materials testing experience.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and English spoken and written communication skills.
• Concrete Testing Certificate from CCIL/CSA is required.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver license.
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 kg at chest height.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction inspection and QC/QA testing for on-call field projects.
• Conduct field compaction testing of soils.
• Carry out construction inspection for various projects.
• Carry out field concrete testing per CCIL/CSA requirements.
• Conduct pile construction monitoring for driven steel and cast-in-place piles.
• Laboratory testing of field materials.
• Ensure all work conforms to CCIL, ASTM and company standards.
• Effectively communicate results to clients, contractors and project engineers.
• Travel to local and remote construction sites.
