Job summary

A-1 Security in Alberta is seeking a Field Manager to oversee after-hours operations and guide a 50+ person mobile and static security team. The role emphasizes operational leadership, client service, and accountability for night shifts.

You will recruit, retain, and discipline staff, ensure safety, participate in ongoing training, and work with leadership to meet business objectives. A valid license and strong knowledge of security regulations are required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of security management experience as a Field Manager.
• 2–5 years of experience in security services, preferably physical security and loss prevention.
• Clean criminal record with no charges, investigations or pending court appearances.
• Valid Security Services & Investigators Act Individual License (Mandatory).
• High School Diploma.
• Valid Driver's Licence with clean driving abstract.
• Strong leadership with proven track record of team building and retention.
• Customer relations experience and contract negotiation experience.
• Ability to manage a team of 50+ security members.

Responsibilities

Field Managers are responsible for the overall management of the corporation after hours, assisting clients with concerns or issues after hours, monitoring personnel, conducting site audits and quality control checks.

Field Managers report directly to the Branch Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operational management for the corporation after hours (9pm-9am)
• Responsible for the recruitment, retention and discipline of a dedicated team of mobile personnel
• Collaborate with leadership to determine ongoing strategic action plans that support all key business objectives
• Responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service at all times, while actively ensuring services are consistently meeting the unique needs of client businesses.
• Participate in all required training, with a focus on continued personal and professional development
• Communicate with the Operations Managerweekly, providing night operational updates and feedback for improvement in operations. Actively ensures issues are escalated appropriately in a timely manner
• Responsible for the overall health and safety of personnel, pro-actively training personnel on safe work practices.
• Provides support to head office and regional management personnel as required
• Participates in projects as required
• Follows all operational guidelines, policy and procedure related to the Field Manager role.

Job Requirements:

• The candidate will possess a minimum of 2 to 5 years of previous security management related experience as a Field Manager
• The candidate will possess a minimum of 2 to 5 years of previous experience in a security services related role, preferably in physical security and loss prevention services
• Candidates must have a clean criminal record, no criminal charges, investigations or court appearances pending.
• Previous law enforcement experience as a police officer, peace officer or military experience is considered an asset.
• Valid Security Services & Investigators Act Individual License (Mandatory, issued by province)
• High School Diploma
• Valid Drivers Licence, with clean driving abstractExtensive knowledge in security operations, labor standards and solicitor general regulations.
• Strong leader with a proven track record of team building and retention
• Customer Relations experience and client contract negotiation experience required
• Ability to manage a team of 50+ Security Members
