Job summary

In-Place Machining Company (IPM) seeks skilled machinists to perform precision field machining at customer sites across North America and beyond.

You will set up, operate, and maintain machinery in diverse environments, reading blueprints and specs, maintaining tight tolerances, and prioritizing safety and quality on every project.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manual or field machining experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
  • Strong experience operating Bridgeport mills and manual engine lathes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
  • Skilled in precision measurement using micrometers and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
  • Experience with rigging, hand tools, and power tools.
  • A self-starter who can troubleshoot, adapt, and succeed in the field.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
  • Technical degree or Journeyman certification preferred.
Required Certifications & Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 Certification (provided)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift Certification/License (provided)
  • IPM Overhead Crane Training Certification
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional weekends
  • Comfortable using mobile applications for timekeeping, expenses, and project reporting
