Job summary
Express Employment Professionals - Ottawa East is seeking a Lighting Controls Technician to join our West End Ottawa client. This field-based role involves installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning lighting control systems on customer sites, with most time spent visiting locations rather than in an office.
Fluency in English and French is required, along with a diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Building Automation.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/French required.
- Diploma/degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Building Automation related field or Building Automation System Operations certification.
- Experience servicing electronic/mechanical systems preferred (HVAC/robotics/lighting).
- Strong computer skills including network fundamentals, software, and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Program and commission lighting control panels.
- Respond to service calls, diagnose systems, and troubleshoot issues.
- Review plans and specifications for lighting control systems.
- Develop and present lighting control system proposals to clients.
- Manage maintenance contracts and ensure timely delivery of services.
