Job summary

Royal York Property Management is hiring a Leasing Specialist to help lease homes within our portfolio of managed residential rentals in Ontario. This is a field-based position where you will represent available properties, meet with prospective renters, conduct in-person appointments, answer questions, and help move suitable applicants through the leasing process.

You will also act as an important connection between activity in the field and our internal teams by sharing feedback on prospect

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of leasing, real estate, property management, rental housing, or customer-facing sales experience.
• Comfortable meeting prospective renters face-to-face and leading conversations independently.
• Strong ability to build rapport, communicate value, and respond to questions or concerns.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled leasing appointments at available properties within your assigned area.
• Represent Royal York professionally when meeting prospective renters.
• Learn the key details of each available home and communicate them clearly during appointments.
• Understand renter needs and match them to suitable properties.
• Address questions or hesitation during the leasing process.
• Encourage qualified prospects to move to application or offer stage.
• Maintain timely follow-up with prospective renters after appointments.
• Document appointment results, feedback, and leasing activity accurately.
• Provide internal teams insight into market response and prospects' behavior.
• Flag issues with access, cleanliness, or readiness that could affect leasing.
• Collaborate with property management and leasing operations to move vacancies.
• Capture updated photos or short property videos when required.
• Assist with local rental promotion and other leasing initiatives.
