Job summary
GCT is seeking a Terminal Support Specialist to join the IT Hardware Department. The role delivers hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and specialized industrial equipment across Lower Mainland terminals, including Deltaport, Vanterm and Vancouver office.
You will troubleshoot hardware, operating systems and connectivity, work both indoors and outdoors in all seasonal conditions, and travel between locations as part of a 24/7 terminal operation.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on second-level IT support experience.
- Experience with industrial/operational environments is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on support for desktop, mobile and operational technology equipment across GCT's locations.
- Troubleshoots hardware, OS, peripherals, connectivity and applications; escalates when needed.
- Coordinates with third-level support and vendors for complex issues.
- Maintains knowledge of supported systems and contributes to reliability improvements.
- Participates in equipment deployments and IT initiatives.
