Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP) is seeking an HSE Advisor to support on-site health, safety and environmental programs across construction projects in Ontario. You will conduct field inspections, assist with incident investigations, and provide practical HSE guidance to supervisors, workers and subcontractors to prevent incidents.

The role requires 3+ years in HSE, strong knowledge of Ontario safety regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in construction or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Experience delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, training, and worker competency programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with project teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide field HSE support and ensure compliance with project plans, legislation, and company requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, observations, and audits to identify hazards and verify controls.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and documentation, and tracking of corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and targeted training.
• Identify opportunities to improve HSE processes, field practices, and risk management.
