Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to join the national HSE team. You will engage directly with field operations to ensure practical safety controls and effective risk management on construction sites.

Reporting to the Manager HSE, you will lead site-specific risk assessments, coach field crews, and implement emergency response plans, toolbox talks, and safety communications across projects in the Greater Toronto Area.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Health & Safety or equivalent.
• CRSP/CRST or other safety certifications are assets.
• CM IOSH Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site-specific risk assessments directly on construction and infrastructure sites.
• Collaborate with field teams to assess risks for high-risk tasks (excavation, scaffolding, crane ops, trenching, paving, confined spaces).
• Provide field-specific recommendations for hazard mitigation (engineering controls, admin actions, PPE).
• Serve as primary safety representative on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Support field teams in emergencies; coordinate responses and test site emergency plans.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and on-the-spot safety briefings; act as liaison between field operations and management.
• Conduct ongoing site observations to identify new hazards and ensure measures are implemented.
