Job summary

IAMGOLD is seeking a Field Technician - Exploration for a 12-month contract. Based near Gogama, you will support diamond drilling, mapping, geochemical surveys, and sample collection, coordinating field logistics and ensuring safety in remote sites.

The role requires a high school diploma with a technical credential in geology/mining/forestry and 2–5 years of related experience, GPS/GIS proficiency, and a valid Ontario driver’s license. Hybrid/remote options may apply in future projects.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma/degree in geology, mining, forestry, or related field.
Two to five years of relevant exploration experience.
Experience supporting field logistics is an asset.
Proficiency with GPS and GIS; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support drilling operations and field logistics.
Assist with contractor coordination during trenching, site prep, and reclamation activities.
Work safely in remote environments and varying seasonal conditions.
Serve as a link between field exploration activities and project teams.
