Job summary

BeaconMedaes seeks a Medical Gas Installation Engineer to ensure safe, compliant installation of medical gas pipelines across healthcare facilities, aligning with HTM 02-01 and ISO 7396-1. You will install, test, and commission systems in hospitals, reading drawings and collaborating with project managers and hospital staff.

This field-based role covers the South UK, requiring MGPS CP/AP certification, ability to travel nationally, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical gas pipeline installation or a similar mechanical engineering field.
• Valid MGPS Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) certification (HTM 02-01).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission medical gas pipeline systems in hospitals and healthcare environments, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Test and pre-commission installations in line with industry standards.
• Carry out final connections of piped gas systems.
• Interpret and work from mechanical services drawings.
• Ensure installations comply with HTM 02-01, ISO 7396-1 and relevant standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and hospital staff to ensure smooth delivery.
