Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Medical Gas Service Technician to perform on-site commissioning, preventive maintenance, fixed-price repairs and emergency service of medical gas, air, and related systems across healthcare facilities in the GTA. You will travel to customer sites from home, join a field service team, and report to the Regional Service Manager - Eastern Canada.

Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and reading schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• OSSD required.
• 1-2 years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment service.
• Valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
• Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting proficiency.
• Electrical control circuit knowledge.
• Able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, as-built drawings.
• Experience with CAN/CSA Standard Z7396.1-17 (Medical Gas Pipeline Systems) is an asset.
• Bilingual in English & French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair medical gas, medical air, medical vacuum, anesthetic drug scavenging systems and related equipment.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Act as on-site contact, provide service recommendations and address customer needs promptly.

Short Description

The Medical Gas Service Technician will be dispatched directly from their home to efficiently perform commissioning, preventative maintenance, fixed-price repair, and emergency service tasks for medical gas, air, and supply systems at various healthcare facilities located throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Your day-to-day

• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various medical supply systems including medical gas, medical air, medical vacuum, anesthetic drug scavanging systems and more. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

Your Skills And Experience

• OSSD
• 1-2 years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment service
• Valid G driver's license and clearn driver's abstract
• Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting proficiency
• Electrical control circuit knowledge
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, test equipment, metres
• Able to read electrical schematics, blueprints, as-built drawings
• Experience with CAN/CSA Standard Z7396.1-17 (Medical Gas Pipeline Systems) is an asset
• Bilingual in English & French is an asset

Your Compensation And Benefits

We offer compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and responsibilities of the role. • $30.00 - $33.00 hourly to start

Your location

• You join a field service team that are dispatched remotely from home to customer sites, most of the day is spent travelling to customers within your assigned territory to support them on‑site.
• You will be part of the Class 1 Service Team headquartered in Cambridge and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Travel to these offices is required occassionally for training and meetings.
