Job summary

STEP Energy Services is seeking a Field Electronics/Instrumentation & Controls Technician - Coiled Tubing to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment used in field operations. You will calibrate sensors, electrical/electronic systems, and load PLC settings to ensure reliable performance.

The role requires 2+ years of trade experience, relevant electrical/instrumentation certifications, and the ability to train and mentor crew members in a fast-paced worksite environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical or electronic engineering degree or journeyman diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of industry trade experience.
• Electronic/instrumentation certification required.
• HSE trainings such as H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, TDG, WHMIS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on STEP equipment.
• Calibrate sensors, pneumatic devices, and electrical/electronic systems.
• Write calibration programs, JSA’s, and procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor other technicians.
• Diagnose digital communications and electronic signals with testing meters.
