Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer - Electrical for the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant project in North Vancouver. The role focuses on field inspection, QA, and electrical design support during construction.

The candidate should have 4+ years of relevant experience and a P.Eng certification within Canada. The position is site-based, requiring coordination with contractors and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• P.Eng certification within Canada is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with minimum 4+ years of Electrical field experience in construction inspection, quality assurance, or site engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Electrical inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, electrical and building codes.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance to construction teams to resolve on-site issues.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and field modifications for Electrical components.
• Perform quality assurance checks on materials and workmanship per contract documents.
• Monitor and document construction progress, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including municipal and provincial building and electrical codes.
• Support project close-out activities, including punch lists and final inspections.
