Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Dispatching

  • Prioritize service requests based on urgency (e.g., new installations, faulty meter replacements, emergency outages).
  • Optimize technician schedules to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
  • Adjust dispatch in real time to accommodate urgent requests or unforeseen issues.

Work Order Management

  • Receive and process service requests from property managers, building owners, and utility companies.
  • Create, assign, and track work orders, ensuring accurate details (meter type, location, access instructions).
  • Verify job completion, update records, and close work orders in the system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for property managers, tenants, and technicians.
  • Provide ETAs and status updates on meter installations, replacements, and troubleshooting.
  • Address customer concerns related to meter readings, billing discrepancies, or service delays.
  • Ensure technicians have the correct site access permissions and contact details.
  • Provide technicians with detailed job instructions, including meter specifications, troubleshooting steps, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor job progress via location tracking and field service management software.
  • Ensure technicians have the required tools and meter access before dispatching.

Data Accuracy & Reporting

  • Coordinate/support accurate meter data to ensure correct billing and service records.
  • Track service completion rates, technician performance, and issue resolution times.
  • Generate reports on work order completion, meter performance, and operational trends.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure dispatch operations comply with utility regulations and submetering guidelines.
  • Communicate safety protocols and building-specific access requirements.
  • Document and report any safety incidents, regulatory concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Utilize submetering dispatch and ticketing tools to track service history, manage work orders, and maintain meter data.
  • Use location mapping and geo tracking to optimize technician routing and response times.
  • Support field technicians in troubleshooting handheld devices, mobile applications, and remote diagnostics tools.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Experience in dispatching, field service coordination in utilities, telecommunications, courier and related delivery services.
  • Strong knowledge of work order management, and field service operations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with geo-mapping, geo-tracking, and mobile dispatching environments.
