Job summary

EllisDon is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site management of Cold Lake, Alberta projects, ensuring construction aligns with drawings, specs, and safety standards. You will assist the Superintendent with scheduling, manpower, materials, inspections, and budget adherence, while communicating with stakeholders professionally.

Ideal candidates hold a construction degree or diploma, have 1–5 years of construction experience, and knowledge of Primavera, Procore, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of construction experience or equivalent training.
• Construction-related degree/diploma required.
• Experience with concrete & formwork scopes is a plus.
• Knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in on-site management to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Support planning and implementation of schedules, manpower, material quantities, inspections, and equipment needs.
• Monitor work performance to ensure safety, procedures, and project rules are followed.
• Communicate potential problems and budget changes to keep the project on track.
• Maintain and analyze cost reports; help ensure delivery within budget.
• Engage with stakeholders professionally to represent company interests.
