Sperry Rail Service in Canada is seeking a field-based CDL Driver to operate hi-rail vehicles, support testing, and ensure DOT/FRA safety compliance on rail sites nationwide. This role involves extensive travel (3–4 months at a time) and working in varied weather conditions.

Candidates must hold CDL Class 5 or higher with air brake endorsement, pass health screening, and demonstrate strong communication and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be physically capable of demanding field work in varied weather.
• Ability to work effectively in a team in remote settings.

Responsabilités

• Operate hi-rail vehicles and rail-bound detector cars on roadways and tracks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
• Assist rail flaw detection testing and data collection in the field.
• Monitor data and communicate findings to the crew; ensure safety protocols.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance and keep gear organized.
