Job summary

Geosam Capital is seeking an Automation Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain automated systems at client sites. This role combines fieldwork, customer service, and travel, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have a DEC in industrial electronics or related fields, 1–5 years of experience, and strong diagnostic and organizational skills. A valid driver’s license is required and bilingual English/French is preferred for communication with clients outside Quebec.

Qualifications

• DEC in industrial electronics, automation, electromechanics, or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Highly autonomous and organized.
• Ability to work directly with clients and manage priorities.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls at client sites.
• Diagnose malfunctions and identify root causes of problems.
• Repair, adjust, and commission automated equipment.
• Perform operational tests, trials, and validations.
• Provide professional and efficient customer service.
• Write intervention reports and document work performed.
• Participate in the on-call program according to the established schedule.
• Comply with occupational health and safety standards.
