Job description

We are currently hiring for Field Adjusters to join our Property Claims team in the Greater Toronto Area: Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton.

What you’ll do:

1. Complete on-site and/or virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims.
2. Capture the scope of damages and quantify repair estimates to settle claims.
3. Reconcile and validate vendor estimates to ensure price and scope are appropriate.
4. Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses, and lawyers to obtain facts and information.
5. Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshal reports, case law to make decisions on coverage and claim value, and negotiate/settle claims accordingly.
6. Provide exemplary customer service and keep related parties informed of the claims status, working towards quick resolution.
7. Ensure data accuracy, issue payments to insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
8. Assist during CATs within Canada.

What you’ll bring:

• 2+ years of experience as an adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial claims.
• Strong background in Property Insurance and Customer Service.
• Ability to scope damages and prepare repair estimates is preferred.
• Good PC skills and adaptability with new technology – Hover experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license.
