Job summary

RFNOW Inc. is seeking skilled Equipment Operators to join our Construction Team in the Virden, MB area. You will operate heavy equipment to support fiber optic construction, working with a crew to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspections, maintenance, securing attachments, transporting materials, and assisting with general labour as needed. Compliance with PPE, safety policies, and OH&S is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license required (Class 1 or Class 3 preferred).
• Experience with heavy-duty construction equipment (skid steers, plows, HDD drills, trailers).
• Experience with utility locates is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently on fiber optic projects.
• Perform daily pre-use inspections; report repairs or hazards.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment for reliability.
• Transport, load, and secure materials and equipment to job sites.
• Complete daily paperwork and site meeting notes.
