Job summary

RFNOW Inc. seeks motivated individuals for an Equipment Operator- Class 1/3 Driver role in Virden, MB. You will operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to support fiber internet construction and assist field crews in safe, efficient project completion.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, loading/unloading, transporting materials, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires a valid Class 1 or 3 license and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License required.
• Experience operating heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles.
• Experience hauling equipment and pulling trailers is considered an asset.
• Experience working around underground utilities and reading utility locate sheets is considered an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.

• Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Load and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required inspection reports before use.
• Report repair issues, maintenance requirements, or equipment hazards immediately.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Secure attachments and equipment as required for project tasks.
• Use proper load securement and tie-down procedures to ensure safe transportation.
• Assist with general labour duties as required to support construction projects.
• Ensure all work activities are completed safely and in compliance with company PPE standards and safety procedures.
• Complete and submit accurate daily paperwork, including equipment inspection forms, driver logs, and other required documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
