Job summary

American Iron and Metal (AIM) in Laval is seeking a Ferrous Receiving Labourer to join our growing metal recycling team. This is a permanent full-time role with a stable daytime schedule, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm.

You will welcome customers, receive, unload, sort and inspect ferrous metals, and help maintain a safe, efficient site. Valid driver’s license and forklift experience are assets; physical endurance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Experience in an industrial, recycling or related environment (asset).
• Forklift experience (asset).
• Knowledge of different types of metals (asset).
• Good physical ability and ability to work outdoors.
• Responsible, punctual, resourceful and safety-conscious.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and follow the applicable receiving procedures.
• Receive, unload, sort and inspect ferrous metals.
• Identify different types of metals and assess their quality.
• Operate other equipment as needed, such as a forklift.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Perform other related duties to support site operations.
