Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a dedicated production general labourer to support our fast-paced packaging operations. You will trim scrap, palletize, label loads, move materials with a PIV, and perform quality checks while following SOPs and safety policies.

The role requires physical stamina, basic math and computer skills, and good teamwork. Candidates must be able to work various shifts in a 24/7 operation; training is provided and wage starts at CAD

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production setting.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment under deadlines.
• Trim excess board scrap using a pneumatic air gun.
• Arrange cases on a pallet, wrap and label loads.
• Move WIP and finished goods with a PIV.
• Move stacks of cartons to feeder of gluing machine/press.
• Perform quality checks on cartons per SOPs.
• Label corrugated cases.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Follow all safety and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
