Job summary

Double M Farms based in Acme, AB is seeking a proactive Farm Manager to lead farming operations and teams. The role requires overseeing planting, cultivation, harvesting, livestock and poultry activities, and maintaining farm infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a College diploma or equivalent in agriculture, fluent English, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and at least 5 years of related experience.

• Plan and coordinate planting, cultivating, and crop harvesting activities; raise and breed livestock and poultry.
• Purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed, and other supplies.
• Determine quantities and types of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised.
• Keep financial and production records.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.

• The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
• The candidate will be in charge of soil fertility programmes.
