Job summary

Abbycel Substrate Ltd. in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a Farm Supervisor to lead mushroom farming operations, supervise workers, train staff in duties and safety, and ensure timely production. The role is full-time with 30 hours weekly, offering $24 per hour, 4% vacation pay, and an annual performance bonus based on productivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• Train workers in farm duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor mushroom substrate preparation and production processes.
• Oversee daily mushroom cultivation and harvesting operations.
• Develop and implement work schedules.
• Operate, maintain, and coordinate repairs of farm equipment.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain production records and report operational issues to management.
• Perform other farm-related duties as required

No formal education required. Basic mathematical skills are an asset. Loader certification preferred. Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
